Idea #16 – Almost Free Webinars
Webinars are becoming commonplace in businesses of all sizes as a medium for collaboration, communication, training and even remote customer support. It still amazes me that some service providers can still charge per min/per connection fees for accessing their platforms. This can be extremely cost prohibitive for smaller organizations or large meetings.
However, if you haven’t heard of it yet, sign-up for GoToMeeting.Com. The individual plan is $49 a month for UNLIMITED "Meetings" with up to 10 participants (there are corporate plans as well). For $99 a month you get unlimited webinars of up to 1000 participants and some really cool enterprise class features.
Between collaborating with team members and ad hoc sessions with customers, I use the meeting service almost daily. We’ve actually turned on two of our partners and one of our customers to the service as well. I also recently signed-up for the webinar service as it allows our company a cost effective way to syndicate ourselves to the world at large.
